3 Things I Bet You Didnt Know About

Love Your Pet Love Your Vet aims to raise awareness of veterinarian wellbeing, reduce the stigma in seeking help and provide support to veterinary professionals.

1. They are absolute experts at.....

Founded by psychologist Dr Nadine Hamilton following her years of doctoral research and work within the veterinary industry, Love Your Pet Love Your Vet was formed to help create a much-needed paradigm shift within the veterinary profession and industry.  Dr Hamilton researched veterinarian wellbeing and suicide for nearly 7 years and she created a wellbeing program designed to help veterinarians cope with the demands of everyday life.  Her evidence-based program was effective (statistically significant no less!) in reducing stress, anxiety, depression, and negative affect and is included in an abridged version in her successful new book “Coping with Stress and Burnout as a Veterinarian”.

Dr Hamilton started work on the Love Your Pet Love Your Vet campaign at the beginning of 2017, however, it took over a year of planning and working together with sponsors Royal Canin to officially launch the campaign.  It was so successful that Dr Hamilton registered it as a charity so as to continue her work on a broader scale.

The series of campaign videos features popular and respected veterinarians Dr Anthony Cassimatis, Dr Scott Campbell, Dr Ophelia Li, Dr Andy Pieris, Dr Gerardo Poli – with some very special guest appearances from Emeritus Professor Trevor Heath OAM!

2. The one thing that makes them different from their competitors is....

To our knowledge, Love Your Pet Love Your Vet is the first of its kind to actually raise awareness and address the issues affecting our veterinary professionals in the way they are doing.  Having an experienced and qualified psychologist who is a leading authority on veterinary wellbeing as its founder gives Love Your Pet Love Your Vet its point of difference.  This enables us to dig deeper into the real issues affecting the psychological wellbeing of veterinary professionals, and advocate for change within the profession.

Love Your Pet Love Your Vet is also very proactive on social media, and continually working on new ideas and campaigns to encourage the paradigm shift that is so desperately needed.

3. They can make your life easier by....
