Do you know how many broken links are on your veterinary practice website?

How Many Broken Links Are On Your Veterinary Practice Website 2

Broken website links – what's the problem with them anyway?

Well apart from not looking very professional when a client clicks on them, they also don’t do great things for your Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).

I also think of them as housekeeping for your website.  Just like you vacuum, wash floors and clean your windows in your physical veterinary business so should you regularly tidy up your website

I’m sure there are many tools to help check the links on your website but this is the one I've been using:

Online Broken Link Checker

All you need to do is type in your web address and then sit back and wait. You'll soon be given a list of broken links and then all you need to do is click on each 'URL' to be taken to the page on your website with the broken link.

In the past, I've found a few links that Broken Link Checker reported as being broken and were still ok but in general, it's fairly reliable.

Once you've tidied up all the links, you can then run the check again to check that everything is fixed.

So grab a coffee and give a go.

Tell me in the comments section below if you have another tool that you think works better – I’m always happy to share ideas!
