Not a 'romantic'? Valentine's Day offers a great opportunity to connect with your clients

1. A picture tells a thousand words

Design your own images using online tools and photos of your team, their pets and/or your patients (as long as you've got permission from your clients to use the photos!)

  • Use Canva to design your own images - it's super easy to use and free although the paid version gives you an amazing range of options. I created the six images below in about 30 minutes using some images I already had
  • Visit Pablo & make your own image to share on social media - it's super easy to use & free! (For more information about Pablo check out this blog post: Create awesome social media images to inspire your veterinary clients

Once you've designed your images you can:

  • Print them up hand out to every client that visits your practice on Valentine's Day (& a few days either side!)
  • Post them on Facebook, Instagram & other social media accounts
  • Add a few more special resources (see below) and email a special 'Valentine's Day Newsletter' to all your clients

If you want some more Valentine's Day images to share with your clients on Social Media visit Pinterest and use the search feature e.g. type in 'Valentine's Day and pets'

These images were made on Canva using one of their free layouts and my own photos which I uploaded and all up took me less than 30 minutes:

2. Share some cute links

3. Write your own blog posts

You could write a range of blog posts on the sort of things you can do to show your pet you love them for example:

  • Make sure they're the corect weight so they're comfortable & can move with ease
  • Keep their teeth clean and healthy
  • Feed them a high quality diet
  • Provide regular exercise

Check out the range of images from Doggone Safe - each one would make a great title for a blog post:

Valentine's Day - every year there's a 14th February!

Once you've put together some promotional ideas for this Valentine's Day you'll find that with just a little tweaking they'll be just as useful for Valentine's Day in 2020, 2021 & so on!

These are just a few suggestions to help you connect with your clients in a fun way for Valentine's Day. I'm sure there are many other suggestions or great ideas out there - share them with us in the comments section below.
