Ok - I admit it. I think I bragged once too often about never having caught a cold this season and ended up with a bad one - sore throat, dizziness, coughing, sneezing and generally feeling awful - I managed to get the lot. All I really felt like eating was soup - which then of course, everyone else also feels like eating!

But if you're in the same situation, or you're just not feeling 100% - give this one a go.

How I do it...

It's definitely packs more of a health punch if you can use your own soup stock but that's not always possible when you're not well so use the best quality premade stock you can get your fevered hands on. You can get fresh tuneric almost everywhere these days but once grated, keep it away from anything light coloured as the golden colour gets everywhere!

If you're wanting to make a more hearty soup, add your preferred vegetables and cook until soft, then add in the ginger and tuneric and simmer for 1 minute at the very end.
