Just tell me in the comments section below:

Mdzananda Animal Clinic, Cape Town, South Africa- this is a real grass roots clinic that started out of the boot of a car around 19 years ago, then upgraded to containers staffed every Saturday afternoon, and now runs a full time clinic, the only one in Khayelitsha- home to around 1 million squatters and people living in very basic accommodation on the outskirts of Cape Town. They provide vaccinations, dipping, sterilization, re-homing and medical and surgical treatments to mainly dogs and cats, but occasionally bigger animals too. Most of their staff comes from this community, so they are able to provide a lot of animal husbandry extension education. $50 will go a lot further there than in Australia of NZ!

I nominate Geelong Animal Welfare Society. They work really hard all year to rehome abandoned animals and treat the sick and injured. They have had a tough time on social media in the past few years and I think this would be a nice little thank you

Mercy Ships - they make an amazing difference to lives of people who don't have the priveledges we do, purely because they weren't lucky enough to be born in Australia

Thanks to Paul, Lisa, Jane & Clare for taking part and telling us about their awesome charities. I'd so love to send them ALL $50.00 and maybe one day Vetanswers will be able to! In the meanwhile... Random.org has spoken ...and the winner is number 4 - Clare who nominated 'Mercy Ships'. You can find out more about them here: http://www.mercyships.org.au/
