Two great opportunities for veterinary practices to improve the well-being of their team

Improve Your Well Being

Nadine Hamilton, psychologist and Coach (Well-being Coach for Veterinarians),

is undertaking Doctoral research into the benefits of positive psychology and veterinarian well-being. She has two great opportunities for veterinarians and veterinary practice teams.....

1. Wanted: 10 - 20 Gold Coast based Vets interested in developing coping atrategies to improve their well-being (psst.. it's FREE!)

Nadine recently posted this request on LinkedIn:

"As part of my Doctoral research, I am now seeking Veterinarians who would like to volunteer their participation in my psycho-education intervention (training) program on the Gold Coast, which will focus on providing psychological coping strategies to research whether these strategies are effective in contributing to overall well-being (and in turn, helping to decrease stress and all that nasty stuff).

The intervention program will be completely FREE for Veterinarians, and ideally I am seeking two groups of around 10 people (they will be run at different times). It is likely the first course will be held on a Wednesday – either 3 x 4 hour sessions, or 2 x 6 hour sessions (12 hours in total), around October/November (with the second group around November/December or January). It is also likely they will be held at Oxenford (northern Gold Coast), but this is yet to be confirmed.

If you, or any of your Veterinary colleagues are interested in participating (please feel free to share this information with your Vet colleagues), please let me know and I can provide you with more details. Thank you."

2. FREE 15 minute "Lunch and Learn" sessions for Gold Coast Veterinary Practices

As part of Nadine's mission to help everyone in the veterinary industry cope with the 'not-so-good' aspects of the job, she is also offering a FREE 15-minute 'Lunch and Learn' workshop for veterinary practice staff on:

  • combating compassion fatigue, or
  • effective communication, or
  • stress management strategies.

This offer is also open to any of your Veterinary colleagues who may also like to benefit from these workshops, so please feel free to share this information with them.  Again, if you would like to learn how to keep your head in the game and live a life you love, please email Nadine and she can talk with you further about setting this up.

Click here to contact Nadine for any information on either (or both!) of these offers.
