a revolutionary new approach

SpectraVET™ Therapeutic Lasers offer reliable, effective and affordable treatment of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions commonly suffered by performance animals, pets and wildlife alike.

Designed for portable operation, SpectraVET’s PRO-series and ZEUS laser control units are lightweight and simple to operate, yet rugged and powerful enough for the most demanding user.

SpectraVET designs and manufactures a wide and growing range of continuous wave and super-pulsed handpieces, each designed specifically for a particular application, such as multi-diode probes for covering large areas more quickly, and single-diode probes for precisely targeting pathologies, trigger points, acupuncture points and for intra-oral/-aural applications.

What Is Low-Level Laser Therapy?

Low Level Laser Therapy, commonly known as LLLT, cold or soft laser, or laser photobiostimulation, is a form of phototherapy which involves the application of monochromatic and coherent light to injuries and lesions to stimulate healing.

Unlike non-coherent light emitting devices, such as common LEDs and so-called SLDs (just a marketing name for infrared LEDs), the coherent, monochromatic and polarised radiation emitted by LASER has unique, specific and scientifically-proven effects that persist deep into the tissue.

Laser therapy is used to increase the speed, quality and tensile strength of tissue repair, resolve inflammation, and give pain relief.

Clinical Uses of LLLT

There are a number of potential clinical uses for laser therapy, such as those in medical, dental, acupuncture, podiatric, chiropractic, osteopathic and cosmetic applications. The most popular applications for low-level lasers are in veterinary, physiotherapy and acupuncture practice.

Treatable Conditions

Low-Level Laser has been shown to be effective in, but not limited to, the treatment of the following indications:

  • Wounds and abrasions
  • Haematomas
  • Ligament & tendon injuries, bowed tendon
  • Inflammation
  • Joint injuries
  • Myofascial trigger points, pain points and deep-tissue acupuncture points
  • Chronic & acute pain
  • Non-union & small-bone fractures

  • Superficial acupuncture points
  • Mucous membranes
  • Post-surgical wounds

SpectraVET Modular Laser Systems

SpectraVET Pro - Control Unit

The PRO 2 control unit is the electrical component of the SpectraVET laser units, it has the flexibility of being able to choose your treatment times and frequencies.  It is designed for portable operation, is lightweight at less than 1kg yet rugged and powerful enough for the most demanding user.

SpectraVET - Laser Probes

SpectraVET offers a wide range of single-laser and multi-laser probes, each designed specifically for a particular application, such as high-power, large multi diode probes for horses and other large animals, and lower-powered, smaller-sized probes for greyhounds, other dogs and small animals.

SpectraVET Zeus - Control Unit

The ZEUS control unit is a simplistic version of the PRO2, it has a set treatment timer and Continuous wave setting.  Combine this with the same rugged, lightweight, portable design of the PRO2, this unit is ideal for the rookie user and takes all the guesswork out of using a laser.

SpectraVET laser is a great treatment option

"Using the SpecctraVET laser adds a great treatment option for my client's animals. The SpectraVET laser is very easy to use. I have no hesitation in recommending this product."
