This workshop is designed for the experienced dental practitioner who is ready to be introduced to the skill of endodontics. It will an in-depth review of pulpal disease pathogenesis, equipment use, 3-dimensional obturation and sealing of the root canals and communication with clients.

With a strong focus on the practical, this hands-on lab will have you practising the finer skills of endodontics.

Key Learning Outcomes:

  • Access to the root canal system
  • Dental radiology and interpretation
  • Mechanical instrumentation
  • Use of chemical agents and obturation materials
  • Final sealing of the tooth structures to prevent bacterial ingress
  • Avoiding endodontics errors

Root canal therapy offers a good alternative to extraction especially for the "cornerstone" teeth such as the canine tooth and carnassial tooth (maxillary 4th premolar and mandibular 1st molar)

Limited to 12 veterinarians this workshop offers participants an introduction to the discipline of endodontics delivered in a combination of lectures and wet lab with expert tuition.
