Dear vets everywhere,
We know some of you are tied to your job—we can’t blame you. Being a vet is an important profession (and will become increasingly so as our pet population increases!), but the industry is grossly underfunded and understaffed. With that being the case, it’s tempting to do everything yourself.
Balancing the books? No worries!
Building a website? Can’t be that hard, right?!
Building up a social media presence? Easy as!
Kind of! Except it all comes at a cost – and more often than not, that cost is your time and sanity. Petpack may be a little biased, as we’re in the veterinary marketing game, but our point still stands. We’re here to tell you that you and your time are worth the investment it takes to outsource your online marketing. One of our clients put it best; ‘You can’t keep up with running a practice and online marketing.’
A veterinary marketing team knows how to boost where you appear in Google results when someone searches for a vet nearby. This complex process involves website optimisation, Google Business Profile management, and sometimes Google Ads.
At Petpack, our social and newsletter content is not only written by veterinarians but also ‘vetted’ (tee hee) for maximum readability and ease of understanding for the pet owner.
Building a website may look simple with all the easy website builders available, but it’s a specialised skill. Of course, you could use a builder to create your website, but this would see you missing out on being able to optimise your website copy for SEO (how Google views your page), manage site loading times for your clients, efficiently linking online booking services and of course, having the expertise that is needed to build a website with a seamless user experience.
Same with social media – it would seem that posting content on social media is a doddle, and, at face value, it can be. However, platforms like Facebook will notoriously squash your content to the bottom of the social pile if you are a) not posting frequently and b) not posting content optimised to reach your audience.
Of course, having someone do your online marketing does require a financial commitment. But it could save you hours every week by not having to think about how to get new clients or keep your existing clients interested.
Petpack can help you with your marketing – whether your needs are as small as a Teacup Chihuahua (maybe you need some basic content for your social pages?) or as big as a Great Dane (a fully customised service).
You’re worth it!
