Smooth Operating Vets

As the veterinary profession becomes more feminised, there is a growing need for practices to provide friendly environments that cater for vets who are the primary caregiver of their children.

This is where Smooth Operating Vets come in – we understand the pressures that employing women in their childbearing years poses on small businesses as well as what it is like to be a busy working mum. So we have combined our experience in both to create a program for practices that makes them more ‘mother friendly’ while continuing to operate smoothly from a business perspective.

Smooth Operating Vets….

The name Smooth Operating Vets encapsulates how I like to work and that’s in a team where everyone understands their talents and is happy to work their very best in a calm, encouraging and supportive environment.

My vision is to ensure all women working in veterinary practice, especially mothers, have the opportunity to work in a similar environment. To ensure that mums returning to work not only have the skills, knowledge and confidence they need, but are able to return to work in a clinic that is supportive, flexible and with a team working together to achieve common goals.

New systems and values need to be put into place so that we can all achieve our goal of being, Smooth Operating Vets.
