Euthanasia does not have to be the only answer!
Our aging, disabled & injured pets are family and deserve to live happy healthy lives.
HandicappedPets Australia is the sister business of Pets Need A Life Too – both run by qualified veterinary nurse Gillian Shippen.
Gillian became interested in environmental enrichment when she invited a Rottweiler called Cole into her life and began to develop ways to keep him entertained and pet enrichment company Pets Need A LIfe Too, was born. In 2012 wheelchairs were added to the range when Cole needed one.
In 2020 Gillian started HandicappedPets Australia with the encouragement of the parent company in the US, to enable a higher level of service, support, advice and products to meet the needs of almost all animals suffering mobility issues.
We provide Dog Wheelchairs, Products, Services and Support for Aging, Disabled and Injured Pets.
The inability to walk is no longer an end-of-life crisis
For years, people watched helplessly as their beloved four-legged family members lost their ability to walk due to aging, injury, or disease.
No longer able to get exercise or toilet, our best friends suffered as their world became smaller and smaller.
An elderly, disabled or injured pet can often live a high quality life for many years if they get the help they need such as nappies, a rear-support leash or a wheelchair.
