After years of delays and many hurdles along the way, The VET Expo finally launched for the 1st time in-person at ICC Sydney a few weeks ago on 26 – 27 October 2022. The event was a rousing success! With just over 2,000+ attendees walking through the expo hall over the course of 2-days and plenty of positive feedback received from all parties involved.
The VET Expo was conceived from the beginning as a fun, new festival style exhibition where the entire veterinary, animal health and pet care worlds unite for 2-days of learning, networking, discovering and exploring new products & services. It was one of the only events in Australia to bring everyone together under one roof from veterinarians to vet nurses, vet specialists, vet technicians, practice managers, owners and more.
92 of the industry’s top veterinary and petcare suppliers were on the expo floor showcasing their latest products & services. 14 innovative start-up companies brought their new ideas and vision for the future of the industry. Over the 2 day conference, 124 inspiring experts shared their knowledge and insight about all the trending issues within 15 major conference tracks.
The first day of The VET Expo was capped off with an amazing networking boat cruise where 100s of attendees got to unwind and mingle. With complimentary drinks, delicious canapes, lively music, exciting entertainment and stunning views of Sydney Harbour, it was a fantastic experience for all who were lucky enough to join.
The overall reception of the event has been highly positive with many remarketing that it was unlike any other event in the industry. Many attendees were thrilled with the huge networking opportunities, the unique conference format with short and sharp presentations, and a wide variety of companies and expo highlights to keep you busy on the floor. There’s also been great constructive feedback that will be used to deliver a new and improved event next year.
All the feedback has been heard loud and clear, so moving forward the theatres will be separated into different sections of the hall to ensure there are no issues with noise. Each theatre will also be expanded in size, with comfortable seating, to accommodate all who wish to attend. The team is hard at work on improving the program with only top industry experts you won’t want to miss. The 2023 conference will deliver more scientific information and peer-reviewed content to give attendees the best 2-day learning experience available.
Off the back of an exciting and incredibly successful launch show, The VET Expo will be heading to the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre on 18 – 19 October 2023. The VET Expo 2023 is sure to be an even bigger and better event, with 4,000+ attendees, 200+ speakers, 19 conference tracks and 120+ exhibitors. Will you be there?
